Abstract:
Research background and problem statement
One of the main problems in all over the world, especially in part of agricultural And the purity of drinking water development, is lack of water, drought and climate change. [1] (Azizi, J., 2018). this study was conducted to assess the extent of the environmental pollution problem resulting from sandstorms on groundwater, especially in construction areas and the sensitive areas surrounding them, according to reports issued by several countries, such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sweden, Singapore, and København, the capital of Denmark... etc. By the year 2024, The results showed that the problem of water management is not only a technical problem, but also includes the social, political and cultural aspects of the society. & determine The Reasons for the success and failure of sandstorm barriers to reduce their polluting impact on groundwater in these countries. (AL Nass et al., 2024).
Biography:
Sahar Mubarak Alhamedi is a Consultant in Environmental Technologies and Sustainability with over 13 years of professional experience in environmental management and innovation. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Innovation and Sustainability from the Scandinavian University, Sweden. Her professional background includes work with the National Center for Vegetation Development and Desertification Control (NCVC) under the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Saudi Arabia. She is an active member of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) and has participated in projects in collaboration with international organizations such as UNEP and FAO. She has served as a speaker at major regional conferences on groundwater sustainability in Saudi Arabia and has contributed as an organizer to the International Exhibition of the Greening Arabia Forum under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. She is also the author of Green Innovations, a published book accredited by the Saudi Ministry of Information, and regularly delivers lectures, workshops, and media contributions on environmental sustainability across Saudi and international institutions.
