Title : Biotechnology treatment of industrial wastewater using higher aquatic plants

Abstract:

In this presentation, I describe the harmful effects of industrial wastewater on the environment and examine methods for its disposal using environmentally safe and economically efficient approaches. The study investigated methods for removing cyanide and thiocyanate ions from industrial wastewater through the use of higher aquatic plants. As a result, practical outcomes were obtained regarding the treatment of industrial wastewater and the intensification of these processes using aquatic plants such as Eichhornia, Pistia, and duckweed (Lemna spp.). In addition, technological principles for the biological treatment of industrial wastewater were developed.
