Biography:
Vivan Kanchustambham is a student researcher with a strong interest in machine learning, remote sensing, and environmental monitoring. His work focuses on AI-based semantic segmentation of satellite imagery, multisensor data fusion, and the development of lightweight deep-learning models suitable for on-device deployment. He builds multimodal pipelines that integrate Sentinel-2 multispectral data, vegetation indices, and Sentinel-1 SAR features for effective deforestation detection. His goal is to create practical and accessible AI tools that contribute to climate resilience and support accurate forest-cover monitoring.
