Biography:
Mr. Virgilio B. Ratunil, Jr. is an Associate Professor IV at Surigao del Norte State University – Mainit Campus. He is presently writing his dissertation for the Ph.D. in Marine Science from Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, alongside a Master of Science in Aquaculture and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, both from Mindanao State University at Naawan. His research includes publications on marine life, aquaculture, and biodiversity, with a focus on species like the spiny ornate lobster and tilapia. He has presented internationally, earned awards for his research, and led several funded research projects on aquatic ecosystems
