Biography:
Shrawasti Karmacharya, MSc Environmental Science, is an environmental professional with 16 years of experience in healthcare waste management, municipal solid waste management, zero waste, circular economy, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability in Nepal. She currently serves as Environment and Climate Change Program Lead at HECAF360, focusing on sustainable waste management and climate-responsive solutions. Her expertise includes designing and implementing safe, sustainable, and non-burn healthcare waste management systems, plastic waste inventories, and zero-waste approaches. Shrawasti has worked with healthcare facilities, municipalities, schools, and communities, serving as a trainer, technical expert, and resource person, contributing to capacity building, research, policy development, and practical environmental solutions.
