Dr. Mir Mehrdad Mirsanjari is an Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at Malayer University, Iran, with over 30 years of academic and professional experience in environmental governance, sustainability science, and ecosystem management. He has authored more than 370 scientific and professional publications, spanning transboundary environmental law, climate-resilient urban planning, renewable energy policy, and community-based ecosystem services. His work emphasizes the integration of scientific research with practical policy and participatory environmental management, particularly in the Caspian Sea region and other socio-ecologically sensitive areas.
Dr. Mirsanjari has actively contributed to environmental advocacy, serving as Secretary of the People’s Campaign to Save Ashuradeh Wildlife Sanctuary, where he led initiatives in conservation planning, legal frameworks for coastal ecosystems, and stakeholder engagement. His international experience includes participation in ERASMUS+ programs at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) under the European Commission, guest lectures at the University of British Columbia, and involvement in multi-national environmental diplomacy projects. Throughout his career, Dr. Mirsanjari has bridged science, law, and education, focusing on environmental literacy, climate-resilient strategies, and sustainable energy integration.
