Biography:
Michaela Agtarap is a mechanical engineer and maritime researcher from the Philippines. She has served as an instructor and course developer at the Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (PHILCAMSAT) and previously worked as a maintenance engineer at Seatrium Subic Shipyard, managing pump room operations and facility upkeep. She holds a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Saint Louis University, and a master’s in Naval and Ocean Engineering from Tech Global University. Certified in IMO 6.09, CSWIP 3.0, and COSH, she focuses on shipyard modernization, sustainability, and environmental governance to advance global climate resilience
