Biography:
Ana Santos is a sociologist and anthropologist based at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon (FMH-ULisboa), where she lectures in the fields of Sport Sociology, Anthropology, and Sport Management. She is a researcher at the Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA). Her current work focuses on the intersection of sport, sustainability, and public policy, with particular emphasis on amateur sports clubs, Olympic governance, and active mobility. Ana coordinates and participates in various national and international research projects (e.g., SEMASC, LAENOG, CYCLE-IN) and integrates ethnographic methods with critical theory to analyse the role of sport in urban and environmental transformation.
