Biography:
Dr. Radhika Kanase is a meteorologist specializing in tropical cyclones, extreme weather prediction, numerical modelling, solar and wind energy. She earned her Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2015 and has served at IITM, Pune since 2008 in various research positions. Her work spans cyclone simulation, convective parameterization, thunderstorm prediction, verification of high-resolution global forecast systems, development of a prediction system for wind and solar energy. A recipient of multiple academic awards and a Certificate of Appreciation from IITM, she has contributed extensively to national forecasting systems, including GFS/GEFS/BharatFS, and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals.
