Biography:
Dr. Anniver Ryan P Lapuz is a Supervising Science Research Specialist and head of the Physics and Mechanics Section at the Forest Products Research and Development Institute (FPRDI) under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippines. A licensed Chemical Engineer and a certified Professional Materials Engineer, Dr. Lapuz is actively engaged in research and development on biomass as renewable energy and cellulose nanomaterials. Currently, he focuses on bamboo as an alternative source of sustainable fuel as pellet and torrefied pellet. Development of second generation also from bamboo as bioethanol is also being developed. He is also actively engaged in research and development on biomass as renewable energy and cellulose nanomaterials. focusing on the extraction and utilization of cellulose nanomaterials derived from wood and non-wood materials as insulation material, reinforcement fillers and bioplastic.
